To identify if a Will exists or to prove the Will you hold, the Missing Will Service from our partners Finders International offers a comprehensive national Will Search for both registered and unregistered Wills.

It includes a search of the Probate Depository enquiring of safe custody clerk at the Principal Registry of the Family Division, a search of the Certainty National Will Register Database, accessing circa 9.4 million Will registrations, and a geographically targeted national search for Wills kept by solicitors and will writers based on areas where the person is known to have lived or worked. This premium product conducts the geographical search using postal correspondence to avoid any issues associated with email being undelivered, missed or marked as ‘junk’, ensuring the most thorough search possible.

The search runs for 30 working days after which time a final report is provided detailing any results and signifying the end of the search. Estatesearch will receive all notifications of a potential Will and provide details as we are notified. Upon receipt of a negative report you are automatically approved for competitively priced Missing Will Insurance provided by Aviva.
