The Experian Unclaimed Asset Register (UAR) was decommissioned on 29th August. This service from Experian was a useful part of the jigsaw by which professionals could trace lost assets belonging to deceased or vulnerable clients, which is why it was included as a component of our award-winning Financial Profile Service’s Premium offering, alongside other important routine checks including an Anti-Money Laundering check, Company Directorship search and Office of the Public Guardian search.
In order to ensure continued value and service in our Premium Asset & Liability search, we have developed an enhancement to our Financial Profile Premium extending notifications and search requests to include all institutions which contributed data to the Experian UAR.
Offering professionals as full a picture of their clients’ estates as possible, these additional enquiries will be included as a new component labelled Estatesearch Unclaimed Asset Search (UAS).
As an added benefit, unlike the Unclaimed Asset Register, our UAS component isn’t limited to lost and dormant assets. All positive matches will be returned in real time as they are received and will include active accounts, policies, and shareholdings, giving you complete peace of mind. The summarised final report is produced and returned after 30 working days.
